Claims Module
Outline
The Claims Module processes claims for all lines of business. It is composed of two basic segments: claim information and insurance or reinsurance information.
Claims processing
Three types of claims can be processed: first & final, partial payments and case reserve.
The maintenance options include reserve change, claim payment, closing with no payment, salvage recovery, subrogation recovery and reopening a claim.
Claim Allocation
The system distributes claim amounts and validates the claim by reference to the cover profile. It generates advices to cedents and carriers and updates the claims and accounting records.
Sorting of claims paid and outstanding is by payee, carrier, cedent, facility and underwriting year. All amounts are in original, local, consolidation and cover currencies.
